welcome

Welcome to Til Death, The Speakeasy – where the art of craft cocktails meets the magic of remarkable home bartending hospitality. Our journey began as a passionate dream, born from the imaginations of two avid mixologists, Andrew Loos and Phil Worden, who shared an unwavering love for the craft of mixology and a desire to create a truly exceptional home bartending experience.

Nearly 10 years ago, the seeds of Til Death, The Speakeasy were sown, rooted in a commitment to celebrating the finest elements of Prohibition-era cocktails and the joy of hosting friends and family. This brand guide is a testament to the incredible journey that began as a mere vision and has evolved into a cherished tradition.

Til Death, The Speakeasy is not just another cocktail experience; it’s a revival of an era defined by secret gatherings, inventive libations, and the spirit of camaraderie. Our journey is guided by our core values, which are steeped in our deep appreciation for craft cocktails community, and the desire to make a positive impact on the world.

One of our proudest achievements is the annual Prohibition repeal party, a tradition held each December, with the dual purpose of celebrating the repeal of Prohibition and giving back to our local community. Through this event, we’ve had the privilege of supporting various local charities, contributing to the betterment of Kansas City and its people.

The heart of our operation beats beneath the hallowed halls of Andrew’s funeral home, where our speakeasy is meticulously built out in the basement. It’s a place where history, hospitality, and craftsmanship converge to create an atmosphere like no other. Every detail is thoughtfully considered to transport our guests to a bygone era, where the allure of secret societies and the charm of the Jazz Age are alive and well.

We invite you to explore the stories behind our cocktails, our dedication to quality, and our commitment to providing an unforgettable home bartending experience, whether you are a fellow enthusiast, a supporter of local charities, or someone seeking the perfect cocktail. Cheers to crafting exceptional experiences and embracing history in the spirit of Til Death, The Speakeasy.

OUR TEAM

What began as a casual pastime for two recent, empty nester couples soon blossomed into a full-blown passion for home bartending, hospitality, and fellowship. Phil & Lori Worden and Andrew & Liz Loos spent countless Sunday Fundays at their home bar, experimenting with well-crafted cocktails and reveling in each other’s company. These gatherings ignited a dream to host an annual 18th Amendment Repeal special event, with a focus on supporting Veterans charities in the Kansas City Metropolitan area.

Their enthusiasm has not only fueled this cherished annual event but has also provided a platform for the couples to share their expertise in home bartending and hospitality. Over nearly a decade, their journey has taken them across North America, seeking out and learning from remarkable cocktail programs. Through their travels and experiences, they’ve honed their craft and are excited to share their love for creating exceptional cocktail experiences with others.
